sunday soup

The air is feeling the fall crisp. Time for pumpkins and apples and football and snuggle socks and.... hot soups on Sunday! This is by far my favorite time of year. And, this fall is by far the best yet with my 2 and a half week old little lady to cuddle and kiss and feed all fall long. The past 3 days we have sung praise songs and our favorite lullabye is billy joel's own lullabye, as you pass into peaceful sleep. Daddy fed you little one your very first bottle, that made me feel happy and sad all at the same time. You really don't need just your mommy-- it's the first sign that you are growing and independent you will become. Last night Daddy took feeding duty at your first cry, which helped mommy A LOT to stay in bed and listen to your coos as you were comforted in your daddy's arms. Today is Sunday and although we didn't make it to church with you, we reflected and thanked God for his blessings and pray for you and for us-- as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Today we will visit nee nee and pap pap for your very first trip to their house. You will some day make memories of your time at their house that will last a lifetime... just like your mommy has with her grandparents. There really is nothing like the relationships and love you will have for your grandparents. Happy October Julia!ohhh as for the soup... Well, looks like it will have to wait til tomorrow.
